The climate crisis is one of the biggest challenges of our century, it is closely related to the crisis of biodiversity and requires complex solutions, many of which may also be nature-based. At the same time, the solutions for mitigating the climate crisis tend to be those that contradict the preservation of biodiversity.

The LFN focuses on nature-based solutions to the climate crisis, which at the same time are beneficial to the diversity of nature. For example – the conservation and management of wetlands, as these ecosystems both accumulate and store carbon and reduce the risks of floods, which will increase as the climate changes.

We engage in environmental policy processes related to climate issues.

We participate in the promotion of climate education, creating a better understanding of the nature, impacts and actions of the climate crisis in order to mitigate the crisis and adapt to its consequences.
