F.1. Management and quality control, including audit

The management structure of the project is rather simple. Latvian Fund for Nature, as the coordinating beneficiary, is responsible for overall implementation of the project, networking and communications.

Each project partner have their own role, as follows:

  • University of Latvia: responsible for habitat assessments and monitoring, and planning the restoration.
  • Institute for Environmental Solutions: responsible for aspects involving medicinal plants, remote sensing and citizen science approach for soil monitoring.
  • Demonstration farm “Krastiņi”: responsible for testing innovative restoration methods and taking care of all demonstration work in the demonstration farm.
  • Project partner farms: each responsible for restoration of grasslands and setting up long-term management structures on their lands.
